We're Celebrating Freedom
With Self-Care This
Mother's Day
Fifty-eight percent of women incarcerated in prison and 80% of those in jail are mothers. Roughly 150,000 incarcerated mothers will spend this Mother’s Day separated from their children.
Behind these numbers are real women, mothers who carry love, loss, and resilience every single day. Even after release from incarceration, many in our safe homes are fighting to reunite with their children and rebuild their lives.
This Mother’s Day, we want to honor their strength and support their healing. We’re raising funds to provide 60 self-care baskets for the women in our safe homes. Each basket is a simple but meaningful reminder that they are seen, valued, and deserving of self-care.
Please help ANWOL residents celebrate Mother's Day with dignity, reflection, and restoration, something every mother deserves.
There are 2 ways you can contribute: Donate funds towards purchasing gift baskets (above) or buy a basket from our Amazon wish list (below). (When ordering from Amazon, please ship items to: A New Way of Life, Attn: Pamela Marshall,
9512 South Central Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90002.)
